Max's Mom's favorite toys growing up were crafts, including sculpting dough. She would spend hours making things. As she got older, she especially loved her easy bake oven. Eventually, she had to move to the "big" oven after she kept burning through too many light bulbs; subsequently, these activities led to her career as a baker and pastry chef.

Baby Max started tactile play early, but domestically made sculpting dough that was organic or natural, did not exist, so Max's Mom made her own. She decided early on that this dough should be for EVERYONE. Off to the kitchen she went to develop gluten-free, fragrance free, vegan, 'most everything else free' sculpting dough for everyone to enjoy!

Ta-da! Max's Mud was born.

Max's Mud is reducing our carbon foot print at every opportunity. We'll help you reduce yours too, by offering you sculpting dough that is domestically made. Max's Mud is made in the Pacific Northwest from grains grown in the USA.

Max's Mud goes to every effort to reduce and minimize packaging; we sell our tubs individually so you can select only the colors you want.
 

Reuse and Repurpose

Max's Mud is conveniently compostable and naturally biodegradable, Max says "It came from the earth, so do the right thing and put it back in the compost bin when you're done!"

Max's Mud comes in reusable food grade FDA approved containers. Please repurpose the container for anything from the lunch box to the sand box!

For Max & Skylar's birthdays, instead of gifts, they ask their friends to bring non-perishable food for the food bank. After spending the day playing with their friends, then Max and Skylar deliver the food to our local food bank. Always getting a big thank you in return, for their donations .
